Have you been injured in an accident at work?
If you have then you are probably entitled to claim compaensation for those injuries. Certain types of accident at work prohibit the employer from arguing that he has a defence. Those accidents relate to the use of work equipment. Therefore, if you have been injured whilst using work equipment there is a likelihood that your employer will be liable for those injuries.
What is work equipment?
Anything that your employer provides for you to be able to carry out your employment from desks, to filing cabinets and even the kettle, microwave and fridge. As you can see the definition of work equipment is very wide and encompasses most items of equipment.
In addition to injuries from using work equipment you are also entitled to make compensation claims for:
- All accidents where a colleague has failed to comply with the safety standards and has caused you injury.
- Where there are unsafe working practices and this has caused you to suffer from injury.
- If your employer has failed to try and protect you from harm i.e. whether it be whilst lifting heavy items, moving hazardous materials, walking around your employers factory or even sitting at your workstation.
If you become injured as a result of your employer or another employees negligence - no matter where you work - then you should contact us about making a claim on 0845 373 2585 or fill in the form opposite and our accident at work claim experts will be in touch.
