If you have been involved in a road traffic accident of any kind, it is likely that your vehicle has been damaged and needs repairing. At worst, your vehicle may be un-roadworthy and you may need a replacement vehicle straight away.

At Jones Gough, we have put in place a number of agreements with companies nationwide, that specialise in the supply of replacement vehicles, whilst your vehicle is off the road. We are able to arrange for replacement motorcycles, cars, vans, lorries and in some instances plated taxis.

Then whilst you have the freedom of using the replacement vehicle, we can arrange for your vehicle to either be repaired, using the same company, or written off, if it would be uneconomical to repair. In these circumstances, we can contact the third party insurance company and request that they make an interim payment in respect of your damaged vehicle, to enable you to purchase another vehicle and return the replacement vehicle as soon as you are able.

If your vehicle is damaged beyond repair, then we would recommend that you do the following as soon as possible:

1. Recover all personal items from the vehicle
2. Recover the tax disc and return this to the DVLA so that you can obtain a refund of your road fund tax for the months that you are unable to drive your vehicle.
